MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor degree in IT-related discipline or equivalent work experience
  • Eight to Ten years of hands-on experience supporting a diverse computing environment
  • Hands on experience with common security tools, including packet capture and inspection, vulnerability and risk assessment, MFA and password management
  • Windows Server Administration experience
  • Network Administration and Architecture Design experience
  • Excellent trouble-shooting skills
  • Experience in working with and coordinating third party service providers
  • Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment
  • Strong organizational skills and able to prioritize work
  • Desire to learn new technologies at a rapid pace
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Fluent in English

 

 DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Current Cybersecurity certification(s) (CISSP, CISA, CISM, Security+, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience with AWS and Unix servers
  • Experience in working in a manufacturing-related industry
  • Experience with Exchange hybrid environment and migration to Office 365
  • Current Microsoft, Amazon Web Services certifications
  • Experience with SonicWall, Meraki, Symantec Messaging Gateway, Backup Exec, and SentinelOne
  • Experience managing security policies and procedures
  • An advanced degree in an IT related discipline
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)


Responsibilities

Responsibilities

This position is responsible for designing and maintaining Rain Bird's data, network and system security. Under limited supervision this person will:

In conjunction with other senior IT members, design, implement, manage and maintain Rain Bird's information technology infrastructure, consisting of:

  • Windows Server 2012, 2016 and 2019 on Dell server hardware, Hyper-V virtualization and clustering, multi-server Exchange 2016, Symantec messaging gateway, Cisco Meraki routing/switching/Wi-Fi, layer 2/3 WAN, LAN/VLAN, SonicWall firewalls, SentinelOne EDR, AWS and Active Directory/Azure

 

Design and implement secure networking solutions to satisfy diverse system access needs including:

  • Employee access to computing resources
  • Access for external suppliers to maintain their equipment and/or provide support functions
  • Machine-to-machine communication
  • Cloud Access
  • Separate OT network segments

Additionally this person will:

  • Conduct analysis, scoping, and recommend solutions for both technical issues and projects
  • Help implement a corporate cyber-security framework, including creating processes, monitoring and appropriate documentation
  • Conduct periodic cyber-security assessments of company's assets.
  • Provide technical leadership for support personnel, resolve escalated help desk tickets, ensure system security and backups, and manage software licenses
  • Develop and enforce IS processes and standards
