Qualifications

An undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience, or equivalent combination of education, training and experience where the required knowledge, skills and abilities have been acquired.
• Current experience in Disability Management or Leave Administration, preferably with a third party administrator or as an internal liaison
• Extensive knowledge and understanding of FMLA, ADA and LOA guidelines, laws and regulations required
• Experience with vendor management and contract interpretation required
• Strong working knowledge of HRIS/workforce management systems, proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day contact for all leave questions and concerns, and ADA accommodations as it relates to leave of absence; escalate issues as appropriate

• Act as liaison for employees between HR team and Leave Vendor

• Assist employees and managers in understanding the organization's leave process and programs to apply consistent application

• Manage the Leave email box with all templates and inquiries

• Record and update all claims, leaves, and adjust PTO time in work management system as needed

• Understand, interprets and keeps abreast of relevant laws and regulations and maintains strong working knowledge of FMLA and LOA guidelines to ensure compliance with internal and external policies and regulations (applicable state and federal regulations and benefits)

• Collaborate with HR team on attendance issues related to FMLA and/or company leaves

• Coordinate with HR leaders to ensure compliance with CBA regulations when union employee is on leave
