Summary:
The Sustainability Manager is responsible for partnering cross functionality to implement energy transition initiatives that will yield a positive financial return on investment while also reducing carbon footprint. The Sustainability Manager will also validate quarterly environmental reporting for Scope 1, 2, 3 emissions, and support finance in any additional Sustainability reporting requirements.

What You'll Do:

  • Research and find strategic suppliers to help accelerate Rexel's environmental sustainability roadmaps
  • Partner with Real Estate, Operations, and Finance to identify and prioritize sustainability initiatives with the highest financial payback and carbon footprint reduction
  • Partner with regional operations departments to define implementation plans around the high priority environmental sustainability initiatives
  • Monitor progress of key initiatives on a disciplined and regular basis – from lighting & smart thermostat and HVAC upgrades to renewable energy solutions
  • Partner with Finance to measure success of the projects from an expense savings and energy consumption perspective
  • Identify and implement renewable energy solutions that make economic sense for that market – from onsite solar to community solar and utility based renewable energy solutions. Support research on long-term Renewable Energy solutions.
  • Understand environmental sustainability regulations at the municipality, state, or national level and the impact to Rexel USA's facilities; adapt sustainability initiatives accordingly.
  • Validate and support quarterly environmental sustainability reporting, specifically around Scope 1, 2, and 3 carbon footprints
  • Create easy to understand and auditable environmental reports using verified USA emission factors
  • Adapt and improve the environmental reporting process using best in class data analytics tools like Alteryx
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • 4 Year / Bachelor's Degree - Required
  • Strong understanding of carbon emissions reporting, as defined by the Greenhouse Gas Protocol
  • Cross functional collaboration
  • Concise and clear communication
  • Ability to create and deliver presentations on environmental sustainability topics to those who may have no or little understanding
  • Expertise with basic Microsoft based tools like Power Point, Excel, Word
  • Expertise with data analytical tools like Alteryx
  • Ability to learn various digital platforms to perform the environmental reporting
  • Relationship building with employees around Rexel USA and globally
