Job Description

We are looking for a Will Call Specialist to join our Rexel USA team in Carrollton, TX!

Summary:
The Will Call Specialist is responsible for picking and processing of orders for customer/branch will call, small package, and freight outs. Responsible for handling all processing of orders, paperwork, and procedures as necessary.

What You'll Do:

 

  • Must behave consistently with the Company's Core Competencies, Polices, Procedures and focus on safety
  • Utilize RF (Radio Frequency) hand-held devices and printer during the picking process
  • Perform daily machine check list and operate any material handling equipment safely and efficiently as required
  • Efficiently and accurately pick, label, and stage orders for customer/branch will call, small packages, and freight out orders for outbound shipments and/or will call pick up
  • Properly handle, move, stack, and/or pack various types of merchandise for pick up or shipment
  • Ensure products are free of damage
  • Carry or transport orders to the will call or small package staging areas with any material handling equipment as needed
  • Accurately process all small package shipments
  • Collect all will call paperwork and signatures
  • Interact with customers and branch drivers in a polite professional manner
  • Properly use and understand all computer programs and hardware necessary for completion of the job task
  • Report any damage to electronic hardware, material handling equipment and the Distribution Center immediately to a Supervisor
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

What You'll Need

  • 1+ years of customer service, distribution center, or similar experience
  • Certification to operate forklift, hand truck, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment preferred
  • High School or GED - Required

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Customer oriented and motivated with excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to exhibit a positive, friendly, and helpful attitude with customers and to be sensitive to their needs
  • Excellent computer skills including demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office (Excel), automated order entry systems, and other internet-based tools
  • Product knowledge a plus
  • Warehouse Management System (WMS), AS/400, or other systems knowledge a plus
  • Must have good work approach and be flexible when it comes to assigned job functions
  • Must be able to work in a team environment and self-motivated
  • Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
  • Ability to read and understand RF scanning devices
  • Bilingual in Spanish is preferred
  • Ability to work overtime
