Working with Richardson opens the door to a world of possibility. We currently have an opportunity for a Manager, Technical Services in our ITDepartment located in our St. Louis Country Office.
Manager, Technical Services US will be responsible for overseeing the deployment of IT infrastructure (networking, servers, endpoints and associated equipment) to meet Richardson's overall technology objectives and goals. This role requires a manager to lead a small team of local US based resources, to collaborate with various departments across our US facilities, to carry out general IT support and projects across Richardson US operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deploy and support IT infrastructure across Richardson US
- Partner with the networking, server and service desk teams based in Richardson's Headquarters located in Winnipeg, MB/Canada to ensure completion of key IT projects while ensuring day to day operational support needs are met
- Enforce best practices to track and measure the quality of services, and maintain service improvement plans in partnership with Director, Technical Services
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support IT needs and initiatives
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation and continuous improvement
- Manage vendor relationships in partnership with Director to support IT infrastructure environment
- Partner with Director and other HQ Managers (Technical Services) to ensure IT infrastructure budget targets are met, ensuring cost-effectiveness and return on investment
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing technical team as organization grows
Qualifications:
- Technical education and/or equivalent industry experience, any technical certifications or training would be an asset
- Proven experience in IT environments and deployment projects across an operations focused food packaging and production business
- Experience with following systems would be an asset; Microsoft/Office 365, WAN/LAN platforms (Fortinet/Ruckus), Teams Rooms (Lenovo/other), hosted VoIP (RingCentral), VMWare/vSAN, DNS/DHCP/VLAN, Windows and Linux server platforms, UPS mgmt. (Eaton), camera and card access security systems (Meraki/other DVR)
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a technical team, minimum 3 years experience in a technical leadership role
- Excellent project management, and organizational skills
- Solid understanding of IT security best practices and compliance regulations
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels
