Summary

The Warehouse Optimization Manager will drive operational excellence and process optimization within our warehouse facilities. They will lead process improvement initiatives & deliver best practices while assisting with implementation for sustained performance improvement across warehouses.  They will be the champions for continuous improvement and ensure standardization is firmly embedded into the working habits of the operations.  They will play a pivotal role in enhancing efficiency, productivity, and quality across the network of warehouse operations.  

In this role, you will
  • Lead comprehensive assessments of current warehouse processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement. 
  • Analyze data and performance metrics to gain insights into operational challenges and opportunities for optimization. 
  • Design, plan, and execute lean initiatives to eliminate waste, streamline workflows, and enhance overall warehouse efficiency. 
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by training and mentoring teams on lean principles and tools. 
  • Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and set targets to measure process improvements and operational effectiveness. 
  • Effectively communicate the rationale and benefits of process changes to all levels of the organization, ensuring buy-in and support 
  • Develop change management plans and oversee their execution to minimize disruption during process improvement implementations. 
  • Lead cross-functional teams in the planning, execution, and monitoring of improvement projects to ensure timely and successful completion. 
  • Utilize project management methodologies to track progress, manage resources, and mitigate risks. 
  • Collect and analyze data to make informed decisions about process optimization, resource allocation, and performance improvement. 
  • Generate reports and presentations to communicate project outcomes and recommendations to leadership. 
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to warehouse operations and process improvement. 
  • Introduce innovative ideas and technologies to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness. 
  • Promote a culture of employee engagement and empowerment by fostering open communication, collaboration, and recognition of contributions. 
What you bring to RNDC
  • 5+ years' experience leading warehouse operations or equivalent combination of education and experience.  
  • Proven track record of successfully implementing improvement initiatives in a warehouse environment.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Must be available to travel 2-3 weeks per month 
  • Ability to regularly operate a motor vehicle. 
  • Current state driver's license.
