Regular Company: Roswell Park Cancer Institute Department: Human Histology Time Type: Full time Weekly Hours: 40 FTE: 1 Shift: First Shift (United States of America) Summary: Prepares tissue for microscopic review; stains slides with special stains including immunohistochemistry; maintains laboratory equipment and completes appropriate quality control records; maintains the laboratory in a clean fashion.Salary range for this position is $48,956 - $59,757 annually which includes a comprehensive benefits package. This position also includes a geographic differential in addition to the salary range above of $6.04 hourly for a total salary range of $61,554 - $72,355 annually. Qualifications: Required Education and Experience
License Requirement
1. License to practice as a Certified Histological Technician, Clinical Laboratory Technician or Clinical Laboratory Technologist in the State of New York; or
2. Eligibility for licensure as a Certified Histological Technician, Clinical Laboratory Technician or Clinical Laboratory Technologist in the State of New York.
Education and Experience
1. Associate's degree in Histological or Clinical Laboratory Technology; or
2. Associate's degree in a related discipline and completion of a Histological Technician Certificate program recognized by New York State for licensure exam eligibility.
NOTES:
1. Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
The preferred candidate will have previous laboratory experience, previous histology experience, and IHC/ISH experience.
