Title: Oncology Nurse Coordinator - Ambulatory Urology Clinic

Regular Company: Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center Department: Ambulatory Services - Urology Time Type: Full time Weekly Hours: 37.5 FTE: 0.9375 Shift: First Shift (United States of America) Summary: As an Oncology Nurse Coordinator, you will play a key role in guiding patients and their families through every step of their healthcare journey. Using the nursing process, you will assess, develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans while proactively anticipating patient needs. Serving as the primary clinical contact, you will provide support, education, and guidance to patients, families, and caregivers, ensuring they feel confident and informed. In this role, you will coordinate multi-disciplinary and multi-site care, facilitate seamless communication among providers, and organize all necessary education and training for the care team. You will also be responsible for promoting an exceptional patient experience by delivering excellent customer service, managing concerns in a timely manner, and ensuring adherence to treatment plans through ongoing contact between visits. We offer a starting pay of $51.66 per hour, based on your experience, along with a comprehensive and highly competitive benefits package Qualifications: Required Education and Experience

License Requirement
License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York.
Certification or eligibility for Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).

Education and Experience
1. Bachelor's degree in Nursing and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time oncology nursing experience or critical care experience; or
2. Bachelor's degree in Nursing, the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time medical-surgical experience in an acute care setting and completion of Roswell Park Nursing orientation with the ability to function independently at a satisfactory level for three (3) months as a Nurse I at Roswell Park; or
3. Bachelor's degree in Nursing and the equivalent of three (3) years of full-time medical-surgical experience in an acute care setting; or
4. Associate's degree in Nursing and the equivalent of three (3) years of full-time oncology nursing experience or critical care experience; or
5. Associate's degree in Nursing, the equivalent of three (3) years of full-time medical-surgical experience in an acute care setting and completion of Roswell Park Nursing orientation with the ability to function independently at a satisfactory level for three (3) months as a Nurse I at Roswell Park; or
6. Associate's degree in Nursing and the equivalent of five (5) years of full-time medical-surgical experience in an acute care setting.

NOTES:
1. Incumbents must obtain and maintain applicable certification, as required by area of specialty and outlined in Departmental procedures, within eighteen (18) months of appointment to this position and as a condition of continued employment.
2. As a condition of continued employment, incumbents must obtain certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) within six (6) months of their appointment to this title.
3. Incumbents must complete twelve (12) cancer-related contact hours per calendar year unless certified by the Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation (ONCC).
4. Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited school, college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.

Preferred Candidates:
We are seeking candidates who hold a BSN and bring meaningful experience working with both urology and oncology patient populations. An OCN certification is highly valued, as is more than three years of experience in an ambulatory clinic setting. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in patient and caregiver education, triaging patient calls, and managing symptoms with compassion and expertise. Success in this role also calls for excellent organizational abilities and well-developed critical thinking skills, ensuring patients receive the highest quality of care.
