Job summary
Are you looking for CAD Detailer internship within a dynamic company? We have an immediate opening for a CAD Detailer Intern who will work with mathematical concepts, such as probability & statistical inference, fundamentals of plane & solid geometry, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. This position is located at our Allen Park, MI facility.
To be a CAD Detailer Intern, you will:
- Produce assembly drawings, detail drawings, and layouts based on input from designers and/or engineers
- Applies a working knowledge of drafting standards and methods, geometric dimensioning & tolerancing
- Review drawings for accuracy & conformance to project requirements, manufacturability, and established company practices and procedures
- Modify drawings in accordance with approved engineering change
- Handle multiple projects
To be considered a CAD Detailer Intern, you will need:
- Must be proficient in SolidWorks, CATIA V5, or NX
- Approximately 1 year of a combination of education and experience; technical school education, and/or other training
- Aptitude in computer aided parametric solid modeling design and detailing
- Working knowledge of computers, plotters, printers and other devices used for CAD
- Possesses high technical aptitude and the ability to; visualize physical forms, feasible configurations, and understand engineering information
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products
- Good technical and written communication
- Strong attention to detail and focus on quality
- Highly motivated with a can-do attitude
- Knowledge of GD&T and descriptive geometry
