  • Pay Type: Hourly/ paid weekly
  • Hourl y Pay: $18.00-$20.00 p/h based on experience
  • Schedule: 1st shift: Monday- Friday 6:00 am – 2:30 pm

The Customer Service Representative (Router) is a vital logistics professional orchestrating the efficient flow of customer orders within the warehouse. This position is responsible for strategically organizing, routing, and distributing orders to the operations team. This role is crucial for ensuring that orders are accurately picked, packed, and shipped, while meticulously adhering to all retailer routing guidelines and crucial shipment compliance requirements.

Essential Functions

  • Routing: Understand routing guidelines for relevant customers and communicate plans internally and externally to execute and comply. Effectively prioritize orders for routing and on-time execution. Receive, document, and communicate to the operation all routing information as it materializes. Ensure compliance with delivery requirements such as window times, access limitations, and special handling.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Ability to effectively communicate with internal teams ranging from lumpers to managers. Effectively and appropriately communicate via e-mail, phone, or Teams with client representatives. Escalate issues affecting deliveries or shipments promptly and professionally. Use solid judgment to advise and collaborate with internal teams when requests may cause chargebacks for either the client or Ryder.
  • System Utilization: Operate Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Transportation Management Systems (TMS). Utilize Excel and other tools provided to assist in prioritizing workload.
  • Compliance and Safety: Adhere to company policies and safety standards. Report safety concerns or violations as needed.

Qualifications

  • H.S. Diploma/GED, Required
  • 2 years or more in Warehouse/Transportation, Preferred
  • 0 to 1 year in Multi-client warehouse environment, Preferred
  • MS Office Beginner, Required

Compensation Information :

The compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's relevant experience; education, including relevant degrees or certifications; work location; market data/ranges; internal equity; internal salary ranges; etc. The position may also be eligible to receive an annual bonus, commission, and/or long-term incentive plan based on the level and/or type. Compensation ranges for the position are below:
