Summary

Under the responsibility of the Logistics Supervisor, the Delivery Driver is responsible for the delivery of orders and pick up of products by providing superior customer service. In addition, this position also acts as a backup in the warehouse as a material handler.

Work Type: Full-time

Shift: Monday to Friday, 3pm to 11:30pm

Wage: $24 per hour plus $0.50 shift premium

Responsibilities

  • Responsible to drive a 26-foot truck in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Responsible to deliver products to our clients/customers and provide superior customer service
  • Collect products for returns according to instructions and provide the customer a credit note
  • Conduct pre and post vehicle inspection
  • Complete the administration and paper work
  • Record order discrepancies and inform the Dispatch Office for resolution (adjustment transactions)
  • Work in the Warehouse as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Due to federal regulations:
  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or a Permanent Resident.
  • Candidate must be able to provide birth certificate and passport as identification.
  • Candidate must have a valid Ontario driver's license and be able to provide utility bills showing current address.
  • Candidate must be able to pass RCMP fingerprint background check.
  • Candidate must have good command over the English language.
  • H.S. diploma/GED preferred General H.S. subjects
  • One (1) year or more Commercial driving experience required
  • With Clear Driver Abstract.
  • Valid G License required (DZ license an asset)
  • Ability to drive a delivery van in a safe and responsible manner
  • Safety as first priority
  • Capacity to drive in all weather conditions and temperature changing environment
  • Must be able to frequently lift/carry 35 lbs for 8 to 10 hours daily
  • Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors)
  • Demonstrates customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
  • Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skills
  • Highly thorough and dependable
  • Must have professional appearance
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices.
