Job Description :
Summary
The Director Rental has complete ownership for one of the rental product lines to include: marketing, staffing, pricing, retailing, product line analyst for rental, lease fleets, fleet development, fleet analysis, customer and location profitability and vehicle performance analysis. This position is responsible for the development of an execution of strategic to maximize return on rental assets in all business units for the region. This role is accountable for the development, management and execution of a multilevel sales plan designed to attain revenue growth and business retention goals.
Essential Functions
- Develop and lead the execution of effective initiatives and sales activities designed to retain and grow current customers
- Direct, manage and develop 13 multi-level sales professionals in, developing, growing and retaining business to achieve stated sales and retention goals
- Plan, organize, direct and provide leadership to achieve the short and long term business growth and retention objectives
- Ensure the delivery of Ryder's value proposition to customers and prospects through direct interaction with executives or through effective leadership of the assigned sales team
- Review and approve deals (terms and pricing parameters)
- Ensure effective and consistent implementation of marketing strategies and activities designed to maximize development of assigned markets
- Interface with Ryder's customers and prospects to ensure the maximum development of opportunities associated with the full breadth of Ryder's services
- Ensure knowledge of competitor's strengths and weaknesses and manage execution of competitive strategy

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required in Business, Marketing or Transportation or related field
- Master's degree preferred
- Eight (8) years or more in managing others required
- Eight (8) years or more demonstrated successful sales management required
- knowledge of competitive analysis, strategizing and execution, and negotiation tools and techniques required
- Knowledge of financial elements such as income statement, balance sheets, cost of capital, etc required

Compensation Information :
The compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's relevant experience; education, including relevant degrees or certifications; work location; market data/ranges; internal equity; internal salary ranges; etc. The position may also be eligible to receive an annual bonus, commission, and/or long-term incentive plan based on the level and/or type. Compensation ranges for the position are below:
