SAIC has an immediate need for an Automation Software Test Engineer to support the Aircraft Notebook (ACN) Team located in Huntsville, Alabama.
The Automation Software Test Engineer will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
Writes test cases and scripts and identifies data for test scenarios
Ability to interface within small team with developers and testers clearly and concisely
Performs and leads tests of software and/or IT systems to ensure proper operation and freedom from defects
Performs verification activities on work products using defined methods, procedures and criteria with an appropriate
verification environment
Creates daily test metrics and reporting; communicates test results
Supports analysis of test results and resolution of open issues
Documents and works to resolve all complex problem and reports progress on problem resolution to management
Devises improvements to current procedures and develops models of possible future configurations
Qualifications
Required Education:
Bachelor's degree and five (5) years' experience; additional four (4) years' experience can be considered in lieu of degree.
Required Clearance:
Must possess an active Secret security clearance with the ability to maintain; US Citizenship required.
Required Skills:
Understanding of software test methodologies
Knowledge of SmartBear Test Complete and Azure Dev Ops
Capable of developing test tools in support of an automated and simulated environment
Strong presentation and communication skills
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Strong attention to detail and follow-through skills
Experience using version control software
Desired Skills:
Knowledge of GIT
Knowledge of Army Aviation
