SAIC is seeking a Business Process and Operations Manager to serve in a program office Director's Action Group (DAG) to provide support to the Chief of Staff (CoS) on all program office tasks.  The incumbent disseminates, coordinates, consolidates, and tracks all actions for the program office and subordinate divisions in order to present cohesive, concise products for the CoS, the director, and directorate front office.  The position is responsible for working high visibility tasks and maintaining open communication with a broad range of contacts across the directorate.  The nature of the work is proactive, hands-on staffing, critical thinking, and problem solving. 

The position is located in Chantilly, VA and requires an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance to be considered. 

In this role you will work in support of the director, deputies, and the CoS to manage all program office incoming and outgoing actions/tasks and coordination of responses. More specific job duties include:

  • Manage TIER to include receiving, tracking and clarifying incoming actions.
  • Distribute incoming actions, to include appropriate assignment of actions/tasks to required divisions.
  • Coordinate internal deadlines in order to meet or exceed directorate need dates, requesting clarification or justification, as needed.
  • Ensure acceptance of action and its priority by tasked personnel; providing support, guidance, and clarification as necessary.
  • Facilitate internal and external Memorandums of Understanding and interagency agreements.
  • Prepare status on actions and brief at the Monday morning staff meeting.
  • Manage routine and out-of-cycle updates to the SPO Program Management Plan, a document that identifies the organizational structure, mission, goals and responsibilities, and management controls used for the management of SPO programs.
  • Review action responses for appropriateness; making recommendations to CoS and Front Office.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with DAGs across the directorate on actions where other SPOs are similarly impacted to facilitate unified responses when appropriate.
  • Represent CoS and DAG in various meetings and working groups.
  • Prepare and maintain briefings for orientation classes, familiarizing new employees with the role of the DAG. 

Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
  • Bachelor's degree and 10 years or more of related experience. Note: Additional years of professional experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
  • Working knowledge of tools such as TIER and HelpNow.
  • Knowledge of DAG, program office, directorate, and organizational policies and procedures.
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work as a team member; sharing information and knowledge, and provide backup support to other multi-functional team members as necessary.
  • Tact and skill dealing with all levels of customer organization from senior leader to working level.
  • Outstanding critical thinking and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate requirements to employees responsible for producing action responses.
