SAIC is currently seeking a Junior CAD Analyst to support combat sensor programs at the Airforce Research Lab on Wright Patterson AFB.   The candidate will be required to work closely with government customers and peers in a fast-paced environment to develop and deploy SAIC 3D model development processes.  The candidate will be required to use Rhinoceros CAD software in addition to other 3d software tools to develop models from photographs, drawings, measurements taken directly from hardware, and point cloud data obtained using laser scanning systems.  The resulting models will be used for analysis in various engineering domains including RF signature prediction, IR prediction, and CFD analysis. 

Qualifications

Required Skills:

  • Bachelors and two (2) years of experience. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree 
  • Proficient in general Windows OS usage and data storage.
  • Experience with advance CAD software tools and techniques
  • Understanding of advance geometry based 3D visualization concepts

 

Desired Skills:

  • Advance NURBS based 3D modeling
  • Experience creating FEA models for analysis
  • Experience using Rhinoceros 3D modeling software
  • Familiar with basic Linux OS tools/commands
  • Experience with python scripting language
  • Experience with metrology tools such as CMM arms and laser scanning devices.
  • Experience with quality assurance point cloud processing software such as Polyworks or Geomagic
  • Experience with photogrammetry techniques
