SAIC is seeking a highly experienced Chief Space Systems Engineer to support spacecraft development in Chantilly, VA.
- Leads technical team overseeing requirements development, systems engineering, and Assembly, Integration & Test
- Directly supports government space vehicle division lead
- Coordinates reviews of system integration efforts of complex space, ground, and launch systems
- Manage and negotiate interface control documents with external stakeholders
- Oversees requirements verification and validation
- Makes program risks assessments and provides actionable recommendations to the government customer
- Independently collaborates with Government program office representatives, FFRDC, SETA, and developer counterparts
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science and eighteen (18) years or more experience; Masters and sixteen (16) years or more experience or
an additional 4 years of experience may be used in lieu of degree
- Active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI and be willing to consent to a polygraph examination
- Experience with space systems development, integration, and/or operations of DoD, NRO, or NASA systems
- Experience leading systems engineering teams focused on integration of complex space and/or ground systems
