SAIC has an immediate opening for a Configuration Management/Governance professional to provide direct customer support on a critical mission. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining customer office technical baseline and governance documentation and will manage the business process workflows related to configuration management. The role will perform a variety of tasks to include:
- Responsibility for maintaining customer office technical baseline and governance documentation
- Responsibility for day-to-day operations of office workflow surrounding configuration management and key project approvals
- Provide customer with the review and revision (in some cases significant rewrites) of technical governance documents. This includes Systems Engineering Management Plan, Risk Management Plan, Configuration Management Plan, etc.
- Provide final review of customer documentation prior to baselining. This includes Statements of Work and some Requirements Documents. Documents are produced and submitted by a wide range of stakeholders and must be reviewed for completeness, correctness, and compliance.
- Manage the customer office's configuration management process. This includes management of workflow and acting as secretariat during up to five weekly division or office level approval and configuration management boards.
- Engage with stakeholders office-wide to ensure timely and correct submission of documentation before presentation to approval boar
Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI with Poly
- Bachelor's degree in applicable field or experience in lieu of degree
- Minimum of 14 years of relevant experience
- Experience in configuration management and writing relevant documents
- Experience authoring or maintaining governance documentation
- Experience writing requirements documents and SOW's
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work both independently and in teams
- Strong experience with the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
