We need experienced former controllers who can blend their years of hard-won experience with these leading edge technologies to train the controllers of the future and help ensure the continued safety of our flying public for decades to come. Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) is currently seeking, on-site En Route Air Traffic Controller Instructor for the En Route domain. This position is in support of the FAA Controller Training Solutions (CTS). The individual selected will function as an En Route Instructor III at the FAA Academy in Oklahoma City, OK. The successful candidate must possess excellent teaching and communication skills, as well as classroom management techniques, a mission-focused drive for continuous improvement, and strong technical skills with current ATC automation, simulation systems and procedures. In addition, this position may provide opportunities for mentoring other instructors, as well as input to curriculum design and development.
QualificationsRequired Knowledge, Skills and Experience: Candidates for these instructor positions must have a minimum of 3 years of CPC ATCS experience in a civilian ARTCC or other equivalent civilian facility. This experience must have been at a facility equal to or exceeding an FAA ATC-10 facility. In addition, candidates for these positions must have previously held the position of CPC ATCS or first-level supervisory ATCS.
US Citizenship required with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
Certified Professional Controller (CPC) certification required.
