SAIC is looking for a Customer Asset Specialist to provide program compliance and enforcement support, including research, analysis and evaluation of procurement and management of assets. The CAS will ensure adherence to policies and procedures identified by our customer as outlined in identified manuals, directives and regulations, specifically related to Information Technology (IT) asset procurement. This includes managing hardware and software assets, maintaining accurate records, conducting inventories, and coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulations and directives.
Primary duties may include:
Maintain accountability inventories of government-furnished equipment
Maintain accurate records of equipment assets in asset information management systems
Ensure compliance with Department of the Air Force Manual (DAFMAN) 17-1203 and Air Force Manual (AFMAN) 33-153 guidelines
Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve inventory discrepancies
Assist in the implementation of new inventory management procedures
Support audits and inspections related to procured equipment
Manage procurement activities to ensure compliance with:
Vendor foreign ownership, control, or influence due diligence check
Air Force Approved Products List
National Information Assurance Partnership
Defense Information Systems Agency Unified Capabilities Approved Products List
National Vulnerability Database and Trade Agreements Act
Ensure proper management of hardware and software assets throughout their lifecycle, from procurement to disposal
Generate reports on asset status, movement, and compliance with relevant regulations
Work with various stakeholders, including property custodians, equipment control officers, and other relevant personnel, to ensure effective asset management.
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience
Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility. Able to obtain and maintain TS/SCI
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or related field and 9 years of relevant experience. Will accept 4 additional years of experience in lieu of degree
Strong understanding of Department of the Air Force Manuals (DAFMAN) and Air Force Manuals (AFMAN) related to equipment management and disposal
Minimum 5 years' experience in maintaining government accountability inventories, maintaining accurate records and conducting thorough inventories
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
Desired Skills and Experience
Experience in managing the lifecycle of IT assets, from acquisition to decommissioning
Experience supporting or preparing for government inspections, audits, or asset tracking reviews
