SAIC is currently seeking a Cybersecurity Specialist located at FT Cavazos, TX to support the MJOLNIR contract to install, configure and manage network security components as a Defensive Cybersecurity subject matter expert for the First Army Division West G6. 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Monitor and maintain network security measures.
• Install, configure, and manage network security components, such as firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and other security devices.
• Develop, implement, and update security policies, procedures, and plans for network operations.
• Participate in appropriate division activities within the staff as required by the G6 to include Division West's efforts to provide training and readiness oversite to reserve component training. 
• Work onsite at the First Army Division East Headquarters. 
• Some travel to reserve component training locations may be necessary. 

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

• Bachelors and two (2)+ years of related experience; additional four (4) years of experience are accepted in lieu of degree
• Must have prior Military Experience with a preference in the 17 series or 25 series Army MOS.  Also, other services skills equivalent to the Army's MOS.
• Demonstrated expertise in IAT Level I computing environment knowledge and skills.
• Working knowledge of cyber defense and vulnerability assessment tools, including open-source tools and their capabilities and how to use data collected from the tools to analyze events for the purpose of mitigating threats.
• Strong technical skills in information security, operating systems, intrusion detection/prevention systems, firewalls and security assessment tools.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to identify security issues, assess their impact, and develop effective solutions and countermeasures to address the issues.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATION:

• Must have a current DoD IAT Level II or higher such as Security+ CE, CySA+, CISSP, CASP, ect.

REQUIRED CLEARANCE:

• Must be able to obtain a full Secret Clearance; Interim Secret required prior to start, SAIC will help to obtain.
• Must be a current US Citizen.
