SAIC is searching for an exceptionally highly qualified Air and Missile Defense (AMD) subject matter expert with tactical / operational experience and has recent experience working in the AMD acquisition community to act as Director of Military Operations for the SAIC Team at Fort Sill in Lawton, Oklahoma. This position is hybrid.
The Director of Military Operations will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
Represent SAIC as a key member supporting the Lawton team working all cross-domain fires objectives to include offensive and defense weapons systems and their associated current and future command and control to include networks.
Ability to work with the acquisition community to attain necessary information and details to support development of a future test adapter for all air defense systems
Assist in program management aptitude: roadmap, priorities, generating requirements, communication, coordination.
Make recommendations to test officers in test design and planning
Qualifications
Required Education:
- Master's degree and twenty (20) years' experience; additional four (4) years' experience can be considered in lieu of degree.
Required Clearance:
- Must possess an active Secret security clearance with the ability to maintain; US Citizenship required.
Required Skills:
Extensive tactical and operational experience in the air defense artillery at senior leadership positions
Extensive knowledge of air defense operations, current approaches and limitations, as well as expected and acceptable performance and effectiveness
Expertise in ADA communications, architecture, networks, futures, and doctrine Must be well connected within the AMD community's senior leaders
The ability to develop briefing, establish a requirement BOD, provide technical and tactical AMD system interfaces and employment descriptions
Knowledge of funding sources. Knowledge of the ADA/AMD acquisition community: PMs, AVMC, SMDC, PEO M&S, and Fires Futures Capability Directorate (FCD)
Desired Skills or Required Certifications:
Must have held key positions within the air defense acquisition community and understands roles of each agency for requirement development through system procurement and testing
Must be current and future in AMD programs.
