SAIC is currently seeking an Exercise Campaign Planner located at Camp Smith in Honolulu, Hawaii to support the USINDOPACOM with Southeast Asia expertise in development of a Joint Training and Exercise Campaign Plan.
NOTE: International travel up to 30% of the year may be required.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Ensure unified action within USINDOPACOM, with supporting organizations to develop a Joint Training and Exercise Campaign Plan including Field Training Exercises (FTX), Command-Post Exercises (CPX), and training support activities and investments.
- Support USINDOPACOM J71 and US Forces within the Southeast Asia AOI (e.g. Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia) by maintaining a deliberate plan of action with milestones in addition to production of required orders, briefings, and planning deliverables.
- Create solutions to complex problems and apply operational art in an uncertain geostrategic security environment to develop a training and exercise annex in support of the USINDOPACOM Campaign Plan.
- Ensure coordination with staff and other organizations
- Develop, implement, and maintain efficient protocols, processes, and procedures in support of exercise planning events and senior leader engagements.
- Support exercise work group planning meetings, theaters posture planning meetings, and theater engagement planning meetings.
- Respond to Requests for Information (RFIs) related to exercises and training events in Southeast Asia.
- Produce exercise orders or directives to facilitate guidance for exercise planning.
Qualifications
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelors and nine (9)+ years of relevant experience; additional four (4) years of experience accepted in lieu of degree.
- Joint Professional Military Education (JPME) Phase I complete; two (2) years of experience on a joint operational/strategic headquarters staff accepted in lieu of JPME Phase I.
- Knowledge of the Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC) and associated requirements to plan and execute Field Training Exercises (FTX) and Command-Post Exercises (CPX).
- Proven experience in a management role with oversight of projects and maintenance of timelines.
- Extensive knowledge and experience working with Southeast Forces (e.g. Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia) and or US Forces Japan, including joint assignments at the operational/strategic level.
DESIRED KNOWLEDGE:
- Proficiency with one or multiple Southeast Asian Languages
REQUIRED CLEARANCE:
- Must have an Active Secret Clearance with ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.
- Must have current US Citizenship.
Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
