SAIC is hiring a Field Systems Engineer with a Secret clearance to join our IMDC2 team in Arlington, VA. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced counter unmanned aircraft system (cUAS) Field Systems Engineer (FSE). This role involves providing onsite maintenance, vendor support, future capabilities planning, system updates, and system/software troubleshooting and repair.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide daily operation reports of the system as required by the customer.
- Provide FSE support as requested by the customer.
- Understand and apply mission planning concepts.
- Analyze and troubleshoot hardware, software, and Windows operating systems.
- Knowledge of networking hardware/software over classified and unclassified government networks.
- Understand mission planning system functions and external interfaces, including setup and teardown procedures.
- Manage GFE inventory pertaining the cUAS system.
- Update system and program documentation as required by the customer.
- Work independently, identifying and analyzing important factors and conditions to anticipate customer needs.
- Decide on the appropriate course of action based on analyses of subjects and issues related to assignments.
- Collaborate with customer or internal functional organization to develop, enhance, and/or evaluate system performance.
Qualifications
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree and five (5) years relevant experience; Master's degree and three (3) or more years of experience
- 10 additional years' experience can be accepted in lieu of degree (per contract vehicle)
REQUIRED CLEARANCE:
- Secret clearance required to start
- US citizenship required
