SAIC is looking for an experienced Chief of Operations who is local to Colorado Springs, Colorado. The successful candidate will have demonstrated knowledge in providing operations management with Department of Defense (DoD) projects and programs. The candidate is expected to provide leadership, management, oversight throughout the program and team workforce to deliver exceptional service in support of the Ground-Based Radar (GBR) Maintenance Sustainment Services (GMASS) contract. The candidate must have experience in operations management, personnel management, contract compliance, and financial management. The best candidate for this opportunity will be creative and driven to success with demonstrated experience.
Responsibilities:
- Operation execution and oversight of assigned projects, deliverables, and milestones
- Establish and maintain accountability to support team member accomplishment of assigned tasks and program leadership define desired outcomes
- Building and maintaining working relationships with government customer stakeholders, worldwide team members, and corporate partners
- Establish clear goals, roles, and responsibilities that align with program execution
- Seeking opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation to achieve cost savings and program efficiencies across contract boundaries
- Providing leadership, guidance, training, and mentoring
- Other tasks and duties assigned as necessary to meet the requirements of successful contract execution
Qualifications
- Bachelor's and eighteen (18) years or more of related experience; master's and sixteen (16) years or more experience; PhD or JD and thirteen (13) years or more experience.
- Active Secret Clearance
- Demonstrated project and/or contract management skills to successfully manage a high-performing team in providing engineering and technical services across geographically dispersed project locations
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability and willingness to initiate and manage relationships across the organizations and manage relationships across the customer leadership team
Target salary range: $160,001 - $200,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
