SAIC is seeking experienced certified group exercise instructors to lead group fitness classes. Instructors will inspire physical fitness for Intelligence Community Professionals at a customer site in CHANTILLY, VA. Candidates must be able to obtain a SECRET Security Clearance. Preferred candidate will have experience teaching cycling class for people of different skill levels.License/Certification (required):
- CPR Certification
- Nationally accredited certification required in personal training and/or group fitness. Acceptable certification include: National Association of Sports Medicine (NASM), American Council of Exercise (ACE), American FitnessAerobic Association (AFAA), American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA)
Responsibilities
- Ability to perform an aerobic activity for duration of a class, which may include, but not limited to, standing, walking, climbing, balancing, running, crawling, and kneeling.
- Ability to perform exercises specific to the assigned class.
- Educates class participants on correct form and alternative moves during the fitness routine.
- Ensure the safety and enjoyment for all in fitness classes.
- Attentively listens to members, answer questions, and engage in conversation before and after classes.
- Cleans and organizes studio space before/after each Group Fitness class, record class metrics, and time worked.
Qualifications
Certificates or training in teaching group exercise classes or personal fitness
SAIC accepts applications on an ongoing basis and there is no deadline.
Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
