SAIC is seeking a skilled Identity and Access Management Engineer to join our team at the PBGC. This role requires deep technical expertise in Windows Server administration, Active Directory services, and systems integration. The Identity and Access Management Engineer will be the escalation point for complex issues, serve as the technical lead for various IT projects, and work closely with the Modernization and Enhancement team to improve operating efficiencies. Key Responsibilities:

  • Windows Systems & Active Directory: Serve as an escalation point to resolve complex problems in areas such as Active Directory Certificate Services, Active Directory Federation Services, Microsoft Entra ID, Group Policy Management, IIS Site Management, and COTS/third-party application integration.
  • Project Leadership: Lead Windows Server migrations to Server 2019/2022, enforce HTTPS, and implement DNS over HTTPS. Oversee technical work for Windows System Administrators and ensure that tasks are executed effectively and efficiently.
  • Application Management: Responsible for the creation of new applications in Microsoft Entra ID and for leading efforts to enhance and modernize Windows-based infrastructure.
  • Collaboration with Modernization Team: Provide technical expertise in modernization initiatives and work closely with other teams to define and implement system improvements.
  • System Documentation: Develop and maintain system documentation, including work instructions, infrastructure diagrams, and process documents, to ensure clarity and consistency in operations.
  • Server Administration & VMware: Provision Windows Server (2012R2, 2016, 2019, 2022) for both physical and virtual environments. Manage VMware infrastructure, including building VMs, resource management, server migrations, and patching ESXi hosts.
  • Security & Vulnerability Management: Use IBM BigFix to automate tasks, correct compliance issues, resolve vulnerabilities, and ensure that systems are up-to-date and secure. Collaborate with the Vulnerability Management Group (PVMG) to address and remediate security vulnerabilities.
  • Support & Troubleshooting: Provide technical support for Windows Federal Leads and Operations Managers and ensure that Windows systems are configured and functioning securely.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Technical Skills:
    • Expertise in Windows Server administration (2012R2, 2016, 2019, 2022)
    • Proficiency in Active Directory services (AD DS, AD FS, Group Policy, etc.)
    • Experience with Microsoft Entra ID and IIS Site Management
    • Strong understanding of VMware, ESXi, and virtual machine provisioning
    • Familiarity with IBM BigFix for automation and patch management
    • In-depth knowledge of security patching, compliance, and vulnerability remediation (Nessus, POAM)
    • Experience with system documentation and infrastructure management tools
    • Proficiency in scripting and automation tools (PowerShell, etc.)
  • Technologies:

o   Operating Systems: Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 and Windows 10/11 

o   Software: Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft ADFS, Entra ID, Microsoft AD Certificate Services, PowerShell, IIS, HCL BigFix, VMWare 7.0, CCURE 9000, Bosch Video Management, Traka,  

o   Cloud: Microsoft Azure 

  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
    • Ability to communicate complex IT concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
    • Strong leadership and team collaboration skills
  • Certifications (Preferred but not required):
    • Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE)
    • VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
    • CompTIA Security+ or other relevant security certifications
    • Bachelor's Defree plus nine (9) years of experience
    • Must be able to obtain a Public Trust

Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
