SAIC is seeking a highly skilled IT Advisor to join our team to support of our contract with the US Justice Department's International Criminal Investigative Training Assistance Program (ICITAP) in Mali. ICITAP is an international law enforcement development agency with projects around the world.
Serve as both an advisor and instructor to the DOJ ICITAP-Mali Law Enforcement Development Project.
Expected to work with Mali law enforcement organizations to strengthen their IT security, troubleshoot software applications, and further their electronic footprint. ICITAP is working toward a paperless Human Resource Management System to maintain personnel files.
Assist the transition to this system, and advise on all IT related matters.
Working in developing countries with limited resources, capabilities and technical
Develop new innovative solutions that increase the productivity of our partner. This includes interacting with our partner's IT group to support the effective delivery of technical solutions, process improvements and seamless support to the host government.
Provide technical consulting and initial operational support for servers, data storage, network infrastructure and IT facilities.
Required Education and Experience
BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Management of Information Systems or an acceptable combination of education, training and experience related to the position and two (2) years or more experience; Masters and 0 years related experience
U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a Public Trust certification from the U.S. DOJ
Experience working in, and advising on, IM/IT security and IT Enterprise Security Architecture.
Design, analysis, planning, development and implementation of IT programs or projects or technical systems at the enterprise level.
Advising and presenting briefings to clients, peers and management in the area of IT Security.
Knowledge of IM/IT Architecture - Possesses a generalist's knowledge of all areas in IT, including but not limited to: Software application development, data storage systems, IT security, IT architecture, system administration, networking, and telecommunications.
Knowledge and ability to apply architecture theories, principles, concepts, practices, methodologies and frameworks to achieve the organization's goals while seeking new and innovative approaches, developing prototypes and explaining ideas to a broad audience operating in an austere environment
Risk Management experience
Fluency in spoken and written French with a good working knowledge of English (speaking and writing)
