SAIC has an opening for an IT Project Manager billet in Arlington, VA. SAIC is recognized as an IT leader in the intelligence and law enforcement spaces. This exciting opportunity will be supporting the United States Marshals Services' unique mission needs. We are seeking an individual to join the team who is fully committed to the success of USMS programs and bringing the best innovation, implementation, and attitudes to bear to the position. 

Description of Duties:   

The IT Project Manager will utilize project management and technical skills to manage projects throughout the project lifecycle, work with clients to understand their business initiatives and priorities and help them solve complex business issues with the use of technology. Additionally, the candidate will:

·        Conduct detailed project planning and budgeting, requirements development, software selections, project status reporting to senior management, proactive recognition and resolution of issues across teams, and hands-on project guidance (both technical and other) to ensure completion of assigned projects on schedule and within budget.

·        Establish, utilize, and champion the use of formal project management tools and techniques across all assignments:

o   Project and process planning

o   Status reports and senior-level client interactions

o   Development and maintenance of accurate schedules

o   Creative and effective risk management

o   Management of issues and action items

o   Deliver projects on time, within budget, and scope with high quality

o   Act as a central point of contact between the business and development team(s)

o   Successfully manage project expectations and clarify roles and responsibilities when needed

o   Ensure a strong, team-oriented working relationship

o   Understand the client's business, their essential issues, their business processes, their applications, and the systems affected by each project

o   Attend customer meetings and may serve as primary representative

·        Collaborate with government and contracting team leadership to manage the selection, scope of work, procurement, quality and payment of project materials, vendors and subcontractors

Qualifications

Required Experience/Skills/Attributes:  

·        Secret clearance or above

  • Bachelor's Degree in IT, Engineering, Business Management, Project Management, or a related field, or equivalent work-related experience
  • Five (5) or more years of direct project management experience in the building construction or facilities maintenance industry

Desired Experience/Skills/Attributes:  

  • Management experience with government agencies
