We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mechanical Engineer Team Manager to join our talented team. In this role, you will lead the development and modification of mechanical system designs, conduct performance and reliability tests, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to implement solutions for complex mechanical problems. 

This position is contingent upon award news Spring of 2026.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and modify mechanical system designs, including layouts, schematics, and detailed drawings.
  • Conduct tests to evaluate the performance and reliability of mechanical systems, and analyze data for improvements.
  • Identify and resolve mechanical issues and failures.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical expertise.
  • Prepare technical documents, test reports, and design specifications.
  • Work with internal and external customers and other engineers.
  • Take ownership of projects and leading teams of engineers.
  • Implement concepts and solutions for complex mechanical problems.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • Ten (10) years with Master's or 14 years with Bachelor's degree of engineering professional experience overseeing the creation of mechanical hardware products from initial specifications to final rollout and maintenance.
  • Individual shall consider overall project design including cost, schedule, and social issues that may be associated with a project.
  • Individual shall have notable experience preparing and delivering presentations/briefing and have experience being the task lead/manager.
  • Identify and troubleshoot complex mechanical issues with minimal supervision.
  • Develop and modify engineering layouts, schematics, and detailed drawings.
  • Communicate technical information to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Lead engineering projects and provide technical guidance.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of mechanical principles, materials, and processes.
  • Collaborate effectively with other engineers and professionals.
  • Ensure accuracy and adherence to standards in all aspects of the work.
  • Generate innovative design concepts and solutions.
  • Conduct engineering analysis of complex scope.
  • Manage project timelines and deliverables.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security Clearance.
