SAIC is seeking a college intern to support our NASA Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) customer in Fairmont West Virginia. The candidate will provide support to the integration of Mission Protection Services into the IV&V Program workflows, as directed by and coordinated with the Government project manager.

The support will include the following tasks:

  • Program Information Security Operations Development - Establish and maintain a CUI registry guide; prepare and deliver security awareness training; review deliverables for proper security markings.
  • Threat Research - Identify and analyze current and emerging threats to mission systems and sensitive information; initiate, derive, and prepare Requests for Information to be provided to HQ Office of Protective Services in support of MPS analysis.
  • Information Exposure Assessments - Evaluate systems, workflows, and documentation for risks associated with potential data leakage or unauthorized disclosure of security-sensitive mission information.
  • Vulnerability Analysis - Perform end-to-end system security reviews, including assessment of publicly identified vulnerabilities in context of MPS analysis.
  • Collaboration - Work closely with analysts and experts across disciplines to identify and improve security risk characterization and enhance security product protections.
  • Process Improvement - Assist in developing tools and workflows to improve security review and project management processes; utilize Jira for task tracking and coordination.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma-Completed third year of a 4 year relevant degree program at an accredited college. Related degree fields/programs include Criminology, Cybersecurity, and Forensics
  • Active Public Trust Clearance
  • Experience: prior internship with NASA
  • Communication skills: verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Computer Skills: Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Soft Skills: professionalism, strong work ethic, creativity, curiosity, problem solving, critical thinking
