SAIC is seeking a Modeling and Simulation Project Manager/Coordinator to support the US Air Force Modeling & Simulation (AFMS) program. This is a hybrid-remote opportunity based out of Wright Patterson AB in Dayton, OH. (Candidates must be local to commute onsite 1-3 days/week).
AFAMS is the premier agency responsible for implementation, integration, and development of Modeling and Simulation (M&S) and training and analysis standards that support the US Air Force (USAF), Department of Defense (DoD), and mission partners requiring these capabilities to support the Warfighter in full-spectrum operations. As the lead agent for M&S within the USAF, AFAMS gathers requirements, seeks out potential solutions, and integrates legacy and emerging M&S solutions across the USAF and the DoD.
The role of this position is to support the Simulator Common Architecture Requirements and Standards (SCARS) team at Wright-Patterson AFB, OH. The SCARS Project Coordinator will:
- Organize and conduct working groups, collaboration activities, and potential industry engagements to communicate, promote, and evolve SCARS initiatives and concepts.
- Establish an Air Force SCARS presence within the simulation community through regular interactions with the other Uniformed Services, industry, and academia.
- Coordinate SCARS initiatives within the simulation industry.
- Organize and conduct working groups and collaboration activities.
- Communicate, and promote evolving SCARS security initiatives and concepts.
- Identify/recommend and execute a migration path for simulator functionality that achieves commonality and reuse of standardized components.
- Oversee implementation of cybersecurity related activities and security controls.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Represent SAIC to the customer and work with the SAIC program management team to ensure the requirements are met.
- Bachelor's and nine (9) years or more experience; Master's and seven (7) years or more experience; or relevant years of experience in lieu of degree.
- Ability to communicate with internal and external customers effectively both orally and written.
- Must be a US Citizen and actively possess a Secret security clearance.
Desired Qualifications:
- Program Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Basic understanding of DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF).
- Strong background in Government contracting and financial management.
- Strong foundational background in Modeling and Simulation Engineering and/or Analysis.
