SAIC is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to provide support for our US Navy customer. The position is located at Patuxent River, MD directly supporting the F/A-18 and EA-18G Program Office.
The PMA is responsible for the design, development, delivery, and life cycle sustainment, and planned product and capability improvements and modifications to the aircraft.
***A hybrid work location model (roughly 50% on-site in Patuxent River, MD and Telework) will be employed for this position***
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Participate in and help manage activities for various segments of program execution, which may include Risk Management, Configuration Management, Data Management, Trade-off Analysis/Trade Studies, Technical Performance Measures, Technical Reviews, Modeling & Simulation.
- Development and review/evaluation of various technical documentation including, Statements of Work, Contract Data Requirements Lists, presentation materials, and white papers.
- Document solutions in relation to the technical, cost, and schedule constraints.
- Coordinate research and problem-solving efforts for designated aspects of complex problems with many competing objectives, variables, and constraints.
- Help identify technical solutions that apply engineering theories, concepts, principles, and processes.
- Communicate with stakeholders across PMA 265, other NAVAIR Program Offices, and Industry.
- Mentor & coach System Engineering processes and tools to PMA 265 workforce

Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelors degree and fourteen (14)years or more relevant Systems Engineering experience; or a Masters Degree and (10) years or more of relevant Systems Engineering Experience
- Minimum of an active Secret Clearance required, higher level clearance desired
- Candidate must have experience working with NAVAIR Systems Engineering processes within Aircraft, Weapons, or Commodity Program Office Environment.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with stakeholders of varying technical knowledge and viewpoints.
DESIRED SKILLS:
- Former Department of Navy Class Desk or Assistant Program Manager System Engineer supporting development, modification, & sustainment of Fixed or Rotary Wing manned/unmanned Aircraft Systems
- Systems Engineering Technical Review (SETR) process knowledge, SETR Chair person
- NAVAIR Systems Engineering Transformation/Digital Engineering
