SAIC is seeking highly skilled and experienced Operations Managers to join our team supporting the Office of the Under Secretary of War for Research and Engineering (OUSW(R&E). Successful candidates will provide technical management and leadership to efficiently and effectively run front office operations for senior OUSW(R&E) leadership. These positions are ideal for candidates who have a deep understanding of Department of War front office operations.

 

These positions are 100% on site in Arlington, VA.

 

These positions are contingent upon contract award anticipated in late 2025 / early 2026.

 

Job Description:

  • Coordinate and monitor action and task assignments, establishing completion dates, and assist with escalation as needed.
  • Facilitate teamwork among office staff to ensure cross-collaboration, meeting preparation, scheduling, task execution, and follow up.
  • Develop resource plans to accomplish tasks efficiently while managing competing priorities.
  • Recommend and implement modifications to current administrative and operational procedures and policies to improve efficiency for customers.
  • Maintain and develop office Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Implement process changes through mentoring, counseling, and training office staff.
  • Develop executive-level status and summary briefings.
  • Develop and document decision support documents for senior customers.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in management or technical discipline (e.g. Science, Mathematics, or Engineering field). Advanced program management education or certification is preferable. 
  • Ten (10) years of experience is required. Highly preferred experience and skills in project management, operational management, strategy development and planning, and executive decisions support.

 

Required Clearance:

  • Active TS/SCI
  • U.S. Citizenship

 

Required Skills:

  • Expert level skills in management tools including MS Office suite.
  • Ability to execute effectively in DoW staff environments and at the most senior levels of the Department.
  • Ability to manage multiple, concurrent projects and tasks, and deliver high quality and timely results and work products.
  • Ability to assess urgent work assignments, quickly determine optimal courses of action and manage actions to timely conclusion.
