SAIC is seeking a Pricing Director to join our team of dedicated professionals.
The selected individual will support our Army/Navy Business Group to prepare compliant and competitive Price Proposals while collaborating with Finance, Contracts, Compensation and other allied functional support teams.
In this role you will apply your expertise to advance the mission and optimize our business strategy as a Director of Pricing supporting a $2B Business Group, reporting to the Vice President of Pricing. This leader will shape strategic pricing initiatives and partner with capture teams on highly competitive, multi-billion-dollar procurements and be pivotal in SAIC's mission to deliver value-driven solutions to government clients. In addition, this role will:
- Be a strategic pricing thought leader for the Army-Navy Group, and provide expert direction and oversight to ensure winning, complaint, and profitable pricing solutions
- Lead a dedicated team of experts responsible for developing and executing cost and pricing strategies, including in-depth research, analysis, and advanced cost modeling to support cost/price proposals for high-priority enterprise opportunities
- Interface with executive management and closely collaborate with Business Development, Capture, Finance, Estimating and Proposal Teams to develop strategic pricing models, resolve issues, drive pricing win strategies, implement actionable solutions, and provide expert guidance
- Oversee comprehensive pricing analyses, integrating competitive intelligence and market research to optimize pricing strategies, and support robust business case and risk assessments for large, complex bids, including managed service solutions, platform integration, firm fixed price, commercial and OTA proposals
- Drive procurement shaping and win strategies by developing compelling briefings, proposal materials, reusable pricing artifacts, financial models, and related materials that position SAIC to win
- Foster collaborative relationships with key internal stakeholders to ensure alignment on pricing strategies and objectives
- Conduct thorough post-award evaluations to assess assumptions, methodologies, and results, identifying gaps and opportunities to enhance future results
- Implement best practices and innovative approaches to enhance pricing processes and outcomes
Qualifications
Candidates must be U.S. Citizens
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in a related discipline, with eighteen (18) years or more related experience in competitive federal government contract pricing; master's and sixteen (16) years or more experience. Additional four (4) years of experience considered in lieu of degree.
Strong understanding and knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and other federal procurement regulations as well as CAS and other DCAA compliance requirements and government cost accounting principles
Experience working with various contract types (e.g., FFP, T&M, CPFF, CPAF, IDIQ)
Strong understanding of government proposal development processes
Proficiency in pricing tools and financial modeling software (e.g., Excel, ProPricer)
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present pricing strategies to executives and stakeholders
Desired Qualifications
Minimum of a Secret clearance
Master's degree in finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
Experience with competitive analysis and market-based pricing strategies.
Strong background in financial forecasting and budgeting within the government contracting sector.
Knowledge of Deltek Costpoint
Target salary range: $200,001 - $240,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
