SAIC is seeking a self- motivated and efficient Quality Assurance Supervisor to support both existing and new programs. This position will be located in North Charleston, SC.
The QA Supervisor:
- Directly supervises individual contributors (skilled technicians, administrative support) and/or entry-level professionals.
- Receives assignments in the form of objectives with goals and the process by which to meet goals.
- Provides direction to employees according to established policies and management guidance.
- Administers company policies that directly affect subordinate employees.
- Recommends changes to unit or sub-unit policies. Management reviews work to measure meeting of objectives.
- Develops and implements programs/processes to establish and maintain quality standards of products and services. May also develop programs to focus employees on quality improvement.
- Develops policies, procedures and methods to check product, material, components and/or operational quality and recommend improvements. May support the following areas: engineering, information technologies, business process improvement, etc.
- Some travel may be required.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree and five (5) years of experience.
- Ability to read and interpret TDP and mechanical drawings
- Troubleshooting of computer, radio/satellite and networks system
- Experience replacing components, repairing simple electronic equipment; and taking test readings using common instruments such as digital multi-meters
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Strong communication skills including; technical, interpersonal, written, and verbal
- Organization and Time Management Skills
- Must be proficient in Microsoft 365
- Strong technical, interpersonal, written, and verbal skills.
- Candidate must have the ability to operate effectively in a team environment and able to receive direction, and take constructive criticism.
- Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a secret security clearance
Desired:
Knowledge of MIL-STD-31000, Department of Defense (DoD) and industry documentation standards for Engineering and Design.
