The ideal candidate will support system assessments, design, and test activities to ensure mission objectives are met, while also providing operational and technical expertise for program personnel.

This role requires a strong systems engineering perspective, excellent leadership abilities, and analytical acumen to drive mission success across the breadth of operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of RF signal demodulation processes and identify opportunities for optimization
  • Propose and implement system design improvements to meet desired cluster variance goals
  • Support systems assessments, design, and testing as required, ensuring effective integration with mission objectives
  • Build and maintain constellation data files and definitions to enhance system performance
  • Define and implement pilot channel correction and equalizer settings, optimizing demodulation and automatic gain control configurations
  • Provide training on RF collection system operations and principles to program personnel
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to facilitate project planning, coordination, and execution of system updates
  • Develop official memos, user documentation, and system requirements in alignment with program needs
  • Perform signal analysis to the bit level for waveform characterization, with a preference for experience in advanced signal analysis techniques

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in engineering, telecommunications, or equivalent industry experience
  • Must currently hold a TS/SCI and Poly clearance
  • A minimum of 12 years of relevant engineering experience
  • Strong systems engineering knowledge and leadership capabilities to contribute to acquisition planning, risk assessment, and implementation trades
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience with hardware and software demodulation tools
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience analyzing signals to identify waveform characteristics and deriving properties
  • Expertise in RF demodulation processes, including conducting research and making recommendations to improve system designs

Proven experience in:

  • Building constellation data files and definitions
  • Implementing Pilot channel correction
  • Optimizing equalizer, demodulation, and automatic gain control settings
  • Familiarity with RF collection systems and ability to provide training on their core operational principles
  • Ability to coordinate and lead cross-organizational meetings, with preference for candidates experienced in supporting government customer missions

Desired Skills:

  • Experience designing and executing system verification and validation (V&V) strategies
  • Proficiency in defining system requirements and tracing them through verification processes
