SAIC is seeking a highly motivated SCA Electrical Engineering Technician III to support the Sustainment Branch for the Specialized Munitions Division at Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane, IN. This role offers an opportunity to apply your current skills and expertise while providing a platform for further development and success.
In this position, you will collaborate with other professionals to solve challenging problems, participate in sustaining operations, testing, and fielding solutions critical to the Nation's security, and support our frontline warfighters. You will assist government customers and contractor team members with various projects and tasks, while building and maintaining strategic relationships with customers, sponsors, and related industry partners.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Support customers and sponsoring organizations in reviewing, updating, testing, and documenting captured assessment data for Advanced Optical Target Detection (AOTD) Systems, and Safe / Arming devices for AAM Missiles. Continuously ensuring system component assessment, planning, Manufacturing, Testing, QA, and deliverable data reporting of systems in sustainment operations are accurately completed for the customers', sponsors and end users mission success.
Qualifications
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Electrical Engineering Technology or similar Associates Degree (AS) and Zero (0) or more years, or High School (HS) and three (3) or more additional years related experience in lieu of degree will be considered.
Strong attention to detail, with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with an unrelenting desire to learn and improve. Capable of assessing project issues and helping the team to develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
Self-Starter capable of contributing both individually and with others in a collaborative team. With a demonstrated ability to work in a controlled manufacturing and testing environment.
Ability to perform routine operations with substantial variety and complexity, coordinating with higher level personnel for advice. Completing tasks such as system assessment and diagnostics, electronic and mechanical assembly, wiring, soldering, component replacement, data collection, documentation, and organizing and completing operations defined in a standard operating procedure.
Familiarity with use of multiple types of hand tools, and mechanical and electrical inspection devices (i.e. Calipers, Oscilloscopes, multimeters, etc.).
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics and standard operating procedures.
Familiar with electronics assembly and repair, capable of soldering.
Must be proficient with computers and have experience with Microsoft suite of software tools (Outlook, Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams).
Ability to meet physical health, personal responsibility, and safety requirements to obtain and maintain an explosive certification.
Interim secret clearance with the ability to obtain a DoD secret clearance. SAIC will sponsor the clearance process.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE:
Ability to convey technical information effectively to a variety of audiences in oral or written formats.
7711/7721 Solder Certified, or J-STD-001 Solder Certified.
Knowledge of Explosives or Ordnance System testing
