SAIC has a contingent opportunity for a Scientist to support an Army Night Vision and Electronic Sensors contract. This position is based on contract award and will be located at Ft. Belvoir, VA.

The candidate will provide and support development and maturation for sensor design, trade studies, performance modeling, prototyping, integration, testing, troubleshooting, and repair as necessary, for sensors on manned or unmanned ground vehicles; Solider and small unit sensors; and small Unmanned Aircraft Sensors.


Reviews and analyzes data from research studies, develops reports and conclusions based on those data, makes recommendations regarding areas of investigation needed in specific research program areas, develops program and product development plans to accomplish specific research/product goals, etc., and critiques/evaluates individual research projects and overall research programs.The support services solicited under this effort include technical development and maturation of  sensors, algorithms, and processing hardware for tactical ground assets. Integration of those  components onto applicable platforms and display systems for demonstration, testing, and  experimentation is also included. The support services under this effort also include development  of sensor interfaces, sensor architectures, and sensor integration with networked command and  control systems for demonstration, testing, and experimentation.R/F Microwave expertise & experience; TEMP design and implementation :  These scientists will use advanced data reporting techniques, mathematics and statistics in order to conduct and report their research.. Applies extensive technical expertise and has full knowledge of other related disciplines. Receives assignments in the form of objectives and establishes goals to meet objectives. Provides guidance to subordinates to achieve goals in accordance with established policies. Work is reviewed and measured based on meeting objectives and schedules. Establishes and recommends changes to policies which affect subordinate organization(s). 




  • Bachelors and nine (9) years or more of experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience ; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience.

  • Experience in Algorithm, SW engineering support and project end-state planning for all phases and efforts of Development and Integration Support to Sensors.

  • Experienced in Computer Sciences, SW engineering, AI/ML, data fusion or C2 protocol development.

  • Identification and application of advanced computing platforms to be vetted through industry surveys for computing solutions

  •  Must have an Interim Secret to start work and be able to obtain a Secret
