SAIC has an opening for a Senior Acquisition Consultant to provide systems engineering and technical advisory services to a rapidly expanding Government Intelligence Community (IC) customer. The customer is developing next-generation of space and ground systems architectures, hardware and software solutions.

 

The Senior Acquisition Consultant provides support to the Program Office in acquisition and execution of mission critical systems. In this role you will be part of a team of high-performing subject matter experts (SMEs) responsible planning, development and execution of new acquisitions, developing and executing ECPs, and providing technical analysis. The Senior Acquisition Consultant is responsible for the following:

  • Developing and documenting strategies, plans, SOWs and other acquisition documents in support of new acquisitions and ECPs to current contracts
  • Guiding program acquisitions through agency governance process
  • Manage oversight of Systems Engineering Processes and Artifacts
  • Assist leadership in coordination and collaboration activities across multiple agencies and with oversight
  • Coordinating acquisitions and acquisition documents across the Program Office
  • Representing the Program Office in NRO acquisition discussions related to current and future contracts 

 

 

Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI and Poly
  • Bachelor degree in engineering, science, or related disciplines
  • 14 or more years of related experience with a Bachelor degree or 12 or more years of related experience with a Master degree
  • Certificate in Program Management and/or Systems Engineering
  • Experience in system acquisitions over $100 Million
  • Experience with Federal, Department Of Defense (DoD), and Intelligence Community (IC) Acquisition processes
  • Expert experience in acquisition planning and RFP development
  • Ability to quickly understand and respond to Government queries
  • Demonstrated experience in communications and enabling skills that help others succeed
