SAIC is looking for a Senior Systems Mission Engineer to support a dynamic program in Chantilly, VA. This position requires an active Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph. 


In this role you will provide SE support the management and oversight of a critical program which includes the following:

  • Use technical expertise in the areas of Systems Engineering to support a government program office
  • Develop/review/evaluate architecture solutions and concepts, network and process diagrams to support the definition of a system; track and oversee the design and build of systems
  • Develop acquisition documentation for future system procurements
  • Author, review, and coordinate documents and data to aid the Government in decision-making
  • Provide proactive support to the Government customer and tasks
  • Develop productive relationships with Prime/Subcontractor counterparts, functional counterparts, and other subject matter experts 
  • Participate and represent the customer government/contractor meetings and boards and attend prime contractor and subcontractor programmatic and technical reviews (e.g. PMR, PDR, CDR, and other meetings) to provide technical and programmatic-based recommendations
  • Develop conops, requirements, test and verification plans and oversee the execution of these items
  • Proactively identify and assess emerging technical and programmatic risks at the enterprise, system, subsystem level and then work with the Government enterprise Prime/Subcontractor to develop and evaluate mitigation approaches 

Qualifications

TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and five (5) years or more experience; Masters and three (3) years or more experience; PhD and 0 years related experience
  • Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance with Poly 
  • Experience as a SETA a plus
  • Proficient at Systems engineering, technical evaluation, and providing support throughout the engineering lifecycle 
  • Experience with SE management tools including MS Project, MS Excel, and SharePoint
  • Experience with SE Architecture tools a plus
  • Available to travel domestically
