Accelerate your career and make a difference for national security in Space by helping lead a team of industry professionals and experts that will architect and build a cloud-based software factory in support of Space Development Agency's Battle Management Command, Control and Communication (BMC3) Program. The system that you and your team will create will establish the capability to securely and rapidly field mission applications developed by BMC3 ecosystem participants for space vehicle platforms in support of Joint All Domain Command and Control (JADC2) objectives. This position will provide you with exposure to advanced security and automation practices, as well as the opportunity to work with highly skilled engineers and architects. Additionally, you will have the chance to mentor junior developers and leverage your leadership abilities.   SAIC is seeking a Mid-Snr Level SW Test Engineer to support a key technical role on a fast paced highly innovative SDA project with the development of a cloud-based software factory for the BMC3 program. This position is primary remote.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

  • Work in a remote team environment with software engineers, test engineers, systems engineers, and other subject matter experts to advise unit level testing, create and perform integration testing, as well as ensure proper system level testing.
  • The code tested will be a secure interoperable middleware layer (SIL) that enables the rapid development and deployment of software capabilities to space vehicles.
  • Integrate the SIL with space vehicle hardware from multiple vendors to leverage CPU, GPU, and FPGA resources.
  • Facilitate frequent communication with both lead developers as well as the customer on testing and requirement sell off expectations.
  • Document test requirements and outline demos for future capabilities to ensure expectations are communicated.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in software testing, with at least 1 within the embedded domain. B.S. System Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar.
  • Strong knowledge of fundamentals will be considered in lieu of former education.
  • Experience with Kubernetes (k3s preferred), Docker, Containers, and Cloud Native Architectures.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance.

Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
