SAIC is seeking experienced Solutions Architect in Enterprise IT to lead and support proposal opportunities for the company. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing technical solutions, supporting internal research and development projects, engaging with current and potential customers to develop new business, and working across the company to provide expertise in a variety of requirements. While this is a telecommute-friendly role, the ideal candidate will reside in the Virginia area and have broad contacts across industry and government.
Leverage technical and customer domain expertise to support all aspects of technical proposal solution development.
Develop a comprehensive understanding of customer requirements and leads the development of a complete solution meeting all technical requirements resulting in a price competitive proposal.
Identify and lead technical responses to support Pre-B&P and B&P activities such as RFIs, RFP, and whitepapers. Coordinate overall solution development, proposal writing, and estimating (BOEs).
Write and review proposals; may participate in orals as needed.
Meets with customers on SAIC's capabilities, services and solutions for capture efforts.
May provide solution-related technical support after award, as needed.
Develop advanced concepts, techniques, and standards; solve unusually complex problems requiring a high degree of ingenuity and innovation.
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, IT, or related, plus 14 years of relevant IT experience. Additional relevant experience is lieu of degree.
Demonstrated expertise providing innovative IT solutions in at least four (4) of the following areas: Cloud Engineering and Architecture, Network Infrastructure, IT Operations, IT Service Management, End User Solutions, Cybersecurity, Software Engineering.
Solid understanding of Cloud Migration methodologies and best practices; cloud service delivery models; DevSecOps; Agile Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) or Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe); DoDAF or other architecture frameworks
Expert level written and verbal communication skills
Previous experience working on government, military, or intelligence agency programs
U.S. citizenship is required & must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret clearance as a condition of continued employment.
Strongly Desired attributes:
Experience with one or more cloud providers: AWS, Azure, Google, VMware, others; Cloud Automation and scripting (e.g., Puppet, Chef, Ansible); Containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
Certifications in a mainstream cloud service provider area (AWS, Azure, etc)
Certifications in network infrastructure (e.g., CCNP)
Certifications in a mainstream business process area (Agile, PMP, ITIL, etc)
Certifications in a mainstream cybersecurity area (CISSP, CEH, etc)
TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and fourteen (14) years or more experience; Masters and twelve (12) years or more experience; PhD or JD and nine (9) years or more experience.
