Introduction

Make a difference for national security by joining a team of dedicated IT professionals who will sustain, modernize and transform the enterprise IT capabilities of the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA).  The Air Force and Combatant Commands Business Group of SAIC is seeking a Senior Windows System Administrator to support a transformational infrastructure program for DCSA.

SAIC is proud to be supporting DCSA in safeguarding our nation's information.  DCSA is the designated oversight authority on the accreditation of classified facilities, information systems, and the insider threat program.  This involves security oversight of more than 10,000 companies and approximately 13,000 facilities involved in classified work throughout the DoD and 31 Federal agencies.

Specifically, on the DCSA One IT program, SAIC will provide an enterprise IT solution that delivers highly secured and adaptable IT infrastructure, provides customer support, and cutting-edge technologies that support operations and advance the DCSA mission under a single IT environment (i.e., One IT).

Job Description

Ideally this candidate would be required to be fully on-site (versus hybrid schedule).

Specific Responsibilities:
• Provide Active Directory infrastructure server administration and troubleshooting including synchronization, FSMO roles, GPOs, PKI infrastructure, Enterprise NTAuth store, user and computer authentication, DNS and DHCP.  
• Install, upgrade, maintain and administer infrastructure software and hardware for Windows Server Operating Systems (OS) as well as working knowledge of VMware technologies to include vSphere and VxRail. 
• Provision and install PKI certificates on servers.
• Responsible for patching of systems and applications.  Coordinate ASI's if downtime is required to complete patching.
• Maintain the security posture and Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) compliance, in accordance with DoD requirements, of all assigned systems and applications. Analyze processes, assigned systems and applications, and make recommendations for improvements and automation.
• Configures and manages group policy objects.
• Troubleshoots and resolves software, operating system, and networking problems.
• Schedules, performs, and monitors system backups and, when necessary, performs data recoveries.
• Coordinate with development and security teams to review potential changes and ensure Windows system software, applications, and hardware will not be impacted through implementation.
• Utilize management tools (Microsoft SCCM and WSUS) for patching Windows servers.
• Provide day-to-day Tier 3 support and troubleshooting. Accurately logs tickets and provides timely follow-up on all support requests and incidents using the ITSM system (ServiceNow).
• Deliver a high level of professionalism and customer service; provides accurate, and timely resolution on all supported issues.
• Provide updates to management and project leadership of all ongoing critical issues.
• Additional responsibilities as assigned within the scope of the contract.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications 

It is required that the Senior Windows System Administrator have the following qualifications: 

  • BA/BS
  • Nine (9) or more years of experience.
  • An additional four (4) years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Top Secret clearance
  • Must have at least five (5) years of experience managing and supporting Windows Active Directory (2016 on later), Servers (2016 or later) and Workstations (Windows 11 or later).
  • Four (4) or more years of SA or engineering experience in Windows Server (2019, 2016, or 2012r2), Active Directory infrastructure (deployment/upgrades), Group Policy administration/Windows security, patch management tools (WSUS, SCCM, etc.), and VMWare Server Virtualization.
  • IAW DoD 8140.03-M, must meet the Intermediate Proficiency Level qualifications.
  • Must have experience managing and securing Windows Active Directory, Windows Servers, and Windows Workstations within a DoD environment.
  • Must have experience securing systems and applications in accordance with Federal and DoD regulations, directives, policies, and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG).
  • Must be proficient with PowerShell scripting, Active Directory Service Management, Group Policy and automation.
  • Must have experience patching Windows servers and workstations via automated tools, backing up and restoring Active Directory and Windows operating systems in a virtual environment.
  • Must have experience in managing and reviewing audit logs, supporting Endpoint Security Solutions (ESS) agents on Windows systems.
  • Proficient n a scripting tool such as MS PowerShell.
  • Able to quickly learn new tools and technologies.
