SAIC is seeking a Software Systems Engineer to join our team supporting our MBSE efforts in Sterling Heights Michigan.

This position would be a Hybrid/Remote opening. 

Job Description: 

  • The candidate should have a strong software development lifecycle background.
  • The candidate will participate in a wide range of software activities supporting the development, testing, fielding and sustainment of US Military Wheeled Vehicles.
  • The candidate will help define embedded software requirements, verify that the design of the products meets the design requirements, verify that the test plans and procedures provides coverage of all design requirements and help in the integration of products into laboratories and military vehicles.
  • Candidate should have experience with Software Architecture development in accord with DoD Open System Acquisition guidelines for modularity, interoperability, and the specification of Key Interfaces.
  • Candidate should have experience working in a model-based architectural environment using tools such as Cameo Enterprise Architecture, IBM Rhapsody, or Sparx Enterprise Architect.
  • Past experience with bus communications architecture such as CAN Bus (J1939) or MIL-STD-1553B is a plus.

Qualifications

Required Education

Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience; PhD and four (4) years related experience; four (4) years or experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
 
Qualifications:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Experience with standard development processes, methodologies, and tools for hardware and software co-design.
  • Experience with a wide range of projects related to all areas of software/firmware system development, application development, and development of internal software tools used for testing and verification of hardware and software.
  • Experience with standard development processes, methodologies, and tools for hardware and software specification using model based techniques (SysML/UML).
  • Candidate should have experience with code analysis [C, C++, C#, and Java], and reverse engineering techniques.

Clearance:

Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance.
