SAIC is looking for a Construction Manager to assist our client in advancing the Construction management practice across the Enterprise. The position is located in Chantilly, VA. The ideal candidate shall have a broad hands-on construction experience, construction management, and technical construction background. The work may include reviewing and commenting on drawings for constructability during the design phase, and maintaining regular communication with Project Managers across the enterprise during the construction phase. Will regularly work integration issues with PMs, financial controller and senior leaders. Time will be spent partnering and working with construction contractors as the eyes, ears, and trusted agent for the enterprise. Development of both short and long-term capital improvement programs. The work will mainly occur at the client's HQ but travel to remote sites may be necessary.




  • Must be able to work independently without direct supervision
  • Active TS/SCI w/Poly
  • Bachelors w/15 years experience and 10+ years supervising and managing construction in the field as a commercial/industrial Construction Superintendent/Project Manager.  Relevant years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
  • Experience with all types of commercial/industrial construction to include tools, techniques, materials, operations and procedures
  • Knowledgeable in all aspects of construction skill trade work including but not limited to concrete forming and placement, masonry erection, building envelopes, moisture intrusion, seismic regulations, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, structural, roofing, framing and architectural finishes
  • Knowledgeable and capable in AutoCAD and MSOffice Suite
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills


Desired Qualifications:


  • Previous experience as a general contractor (Licensed GC, Building Inspector, Threshold Inspector) or Associate Constructor
  • Certified Professional Constructor (
  • Certified Construction Manager (
  • Safety (30/40 hr), Hazwoper, Hazmat, Hazcom
  • LEED certified
  • USACE Certified QA/QC. Experience with USACE methods and procedures
