SAIC, a leading provider of systems development & deployment, targeting & intelligence analysis, systems engineering & integration, and training capabilities and solutions for the Intelligence Community, is seeking a Strategic Planning and Governance Analyst to support systems engineering and technical advisory (SETA) services to a United States Government customer in Chantilly, VA. SETA contractors provide analysis and engineering services in a consulting capacity, working closely with the government's own engineering staff members. This role is well-suited for individuals who are detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of turning organizational objectives into actionable plans that adhere to best practices in governance and operational 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and mature governance plans at varying levels of detail, from a basic outline or draft, to a comprehensive final drafts for senior government leadership review. 

  • Draft Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to formalize operational workflows and mechanisms. 

  • Create training requirements and plans to support office-wide educational initiatives. 

  • Develop a strategy document aligning with office's overarching goals and objectives. 

  • Gather from government stakeholders and team members inputs and ensure alignment with organizational policies. 

  • Track, manage, and adjust documentation and proposals using collaboration tools (e.g., Confluence, JIRA). 

  • Provide routine updates on document progress, task milestones, and pending deliverables to ensure alignment with project timelines and priorities. 

Qualifications

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelors and fourteen (14) years or more experience; Masters and twelve (12) years or more experience; PhD or JD and nine (9) years or more experience

  • BS in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) field is desired. 

  • 5–8 years of professional work experience in technical or governance-related roles is required. 

  • Formal writing experience is required

  • Demonstrated ability to independently perform tasks with minimal supervision and deliver high-quality written outputs on time. 

  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook). 

  • Experience using collaboration and project management tools such as Confluence and JIRA

  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. 

  • Familiarity with formal documentation practices and ability to work in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.  

  • Experience in drafting policy documents and developing training materials is highly desirable.
