Join our winning team! SAIC's National Security and Space (NSS) Sector is currently hiring to support US Space Force customer. This team will support systems development, systems engineering integration and testing for the ground segment of national security space systems.
This position is for an experienced and skilled Technical Deputy Program Manager – focused on Subcontractor Performance Oversight. The successful candidate will have a strong background in managing subcontracts technical performance, including cost and schedule delivery in ground system operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables. The Technical Deputy Program Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure project success and alignment with strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop technical specifications, budgets and schedules for subcontractors.
Ensure compliance with government, company and contract requirements and regulations.
Monitor subcontractor schedule, cost, and technical performance.
Prepare and review IPMDAR and Earned Value Management reports to ensure accurate tracking of project metrics.
Coordinate with stakeholders to identify and mitigate risks and ensure successful completion of subcontracts.
Conduct regular meetings with subcontractors to review progress and address issues.
Facilitate effective communication between the prime contractor and subcontractors.
Ensure all subcontract deliverables meet quality standards and contractual requirements.
Support proposal development by providing subcontracting strategy and cost inputs.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date subcontract records and documentation.
Provide technical oversight and guidance, ensuring projects adhere to established engineering standards and best practices.
Conduct technical reviews and assessments to ensure quality and compliance with project specifications.
Qualifications
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Minimum 10 years experience managing complex, large-scale technical / engineering projects within budget and on time.
Experience with building Ground Stations both in CONUS and OCONUS.
Familiarity with international and overseas development projects (ITAR).
Demonstrated expertise in IPMDAR and Earned Value Management.
Strong negotiation conflict resolution skills.
Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in business administration, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience with federal contracts and FAR/DFAR regulations.
Target salary range: $160,001 - $200,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
