SAIC is looking for an Intern to support our Onsite Computer Support Technician Team, the primary responsibility will be to provide technical support to client customer end users in a PC as a Service (PCasS) concept. The selected candidate with provide end-user computer support primarily in the exchange and repair of computer systems and the shipping of those systems back and forth between the end users.  This role is located at our customer location in Augusta, GA

This is a Paid Internship

Duties and responsibilities may vary depending on the needs of the customer, but typically include the following: 

Job Duties:

  • Paying close attention to the user's description of their computer problem and asking questions to identify the problem and determine how to solve it
  • Testing and evaluating the Customer computers
  • Troubleshooting computer problems and individual user hardware or software problems
  • Setting up or repairing computer hardware
  • Must be able to perform efficiently in a warehouse and dispatch environment by handling incoming and outgoing deliveries
  • Obtain and process product orders, including receiving deliveries, registering them and distributing packages and letters within the company
  • Maintain the company stockroom through organizing, cleaning and cataloging items on a regular basis
  • Schedule shipments and plan logistics to ensure that there is sufficient storage space for incoming items and to manage the shipments
  • Keep files of goods shipped and received by preparing regular shipping and receiving reports for managers
  • Handle issues arising in shipping or inventory handling
  • Trouble shoots shipping issues and customer complaints that arise and work to solve them
  • Place merchandise in a warehouse or storage facility by packaging, lifting items as necessary.  Computer Technician/Logistic individual should be flexible, able to multitask, and pay close attention to detail
  • Previous experience with Dell desktop and laptop computers is required

Qualifications

Required:

  • High School and minimum 1 year of completed College Coursework related to the fields of Information Technology. 
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust requiring U.S. Citizenship 

Desired:

  • Dell certification preferred 
  • Previous Dell desktop and laptop experience support
