SAIC is seeking a Technical Support IV. This position provides first line technical support for local and remote users, resolving technical problems and answering queries. Support shall include content management (CM) for SAF/IA websites (AF Portal for both NIPRNet and SIPRNet, AF Public websites) to SAF/IA evolving collaboration needs (Intelink, MS SharePoint®, AFKN, visual tele-conference [VTC], etc.). The contractor will work with SAF/IA to define and validate on-going information/ knowledge sharing and collaboration needs, IT and information systems (IS) strategy, and assist with IT and IS portfolio compliance activities management to ensure high up-time computing (i.e., NIPR and SIPR desktop/laptop support), DOD/AF on-site networking, remote connectivity, and telecommunications needs are met. The contractor will provide recommendations for CM strategy, realignment of sites/tools, site structure, etc. as instructed by the CIO.

 

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Provide triage of inbound requests via phone, email, web, and chat 
  • Support IT Hardware Installation, Maintenance, and Break-fix Support that includes commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) desktop, laptop, and notebook computers, tablet PCs, scanners, printers, docking stations, and the other computer peripheral equipment and accessories
  • Function as customer point of contact regarding IT Support to supported users 
  • Support Software Installation, Maintenance, and Break-fix Support: Includes COTS desktop and laptop operating and application software, scanning software, antivirus software, and any software applications that can be installed on a Windows® OS
  • Support Network Hardware and Software Installation, Maintenance, and Break-fix Support
  • Support Communications Equipment Installation, Maintenance, and Break-fix Support: Includes telephones to include voice-over-Internet-Protocol phones, iPhones®, Blackberries®, facsimile, WAN access point equipment, and the other communications equipment and mobile devices as required
  • Position has potential remote days but candidate must be able to be onsite when needed.

Qualifications

Education & Experience
  • Associate degree, and three (3) years of related experience; High School and five (5) years of related experience. 
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred 
  • 3+ years of experience in computer hardware/software support to:
    • Microsoft (MS) Windows® operating systems (OS) like Windows 10® and any legacy MS Windows® OS
    • MS Office® suite of applications
    • Internet browsers
    • Adobe Acrobat® Professional
    • Scanning software
    • Antivirus software, and
    • Any other software applications that can be installed on a MS Windows® OS in a USAF environment
  • 3+ years of experience providing communications break fix for:
      • Telephones to include voice-over-Internet-Protocol (VoIP)
      • Voice-over-secure-Internet-Protocol (VoSIP) and secure telephone equipment (STE) phones
      • iPhones®, Blackberry's®
      • Facsimile
      • Wide-area network access point equipment, and
      • Other communications equipment and mobile devices as required in a USAF environment
  • 3+ years of experience providing:
      • Network support NIPRNET, SIPRNET, remote desktop, CITRIX® and CISCO® client support
      • Oracle® database support
      • Online meeting/conference support
      • Web site and SharePoint® site administration and maintenance
      • Network outage issues, and
      • Any other networking support issues as required
  • Wide-area network access
Clearance
  • Active DoD Secret clearance; or able to obtain
Certifications 
  • Comp TIA Security+ certification with CE preferred or at a minimum IAT Level I
