SAIC is seeking a Test & Evaluation Engineer to join our team in Colorado Springs, CO. SAIC supports the US Space Force's military satellite ground and space communications systems, providing global security, survivability, and protected communications for our nation's warfighters.
KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY:
- Experience working with military or DoD civilian clients and managing professional relationships
- Strong interpersonal skills, communication (oral and written), and presentation skills
- Capable in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Position requires travel to DoD and contractor test sites (up to 25% per year
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering, mathematics, physics, computer science, or equivalent technical discipline. Min. 3 years of experience
- 4+ years demonstrated experience in multi-faceted tests and test project teams, to include oversight of scheduling
- 4+ years test and evaluation experience with DoD/USAF test processes and documentation
- Must be a US Citizen and be able to obtain a DoD SECRET Security Clearance
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
- 5-15+ years' experience in systems engineering
- 5-15+ years' experience in DoD and commercial SATCOM and network engineering
- 5-15+ years' experience with military space systems and protected MILSATCOM systems
- 5-15+ years' experience with ground systems such as terminals and networks
- Familiar with AFMAN 63-119 (Certification of System Readiness for Operational Testing) and AFI 99-103 (Capabilities-Based Test and Evaluation)
- Experience with government test and evaluation
Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
